“Caps for the Future”: A Campaign In Aid Of Prematurely Born Babies
April 7th, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Open-Air Parking Lot

Caps for the Future, the popular campaign where plastic caps from everyday bottles are collected in aid of prematurely born babies, has selected Mall Varna as the host of its first event in the Sea Capital.

On April 7th, Sunday, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, everyone who has been collecting single-use bottle caps, may bring them to the Open-Air Parking Lot of the Shopping Center Mall Varna EAD, and hand them in to be used for secondary processing. The means, gathered from the recycled plastics, will be spent on purchasing modern incubators for newborn babies. The more caps are collected, the more prematurely-born babies will get the chance to lead a healthy and disability-free life.

‘In Bulgaria, a great part of the available equipment is more than 20 years old, and one out of three children is born with eye damage’, commented campaign creators Martina Yordanova and Lazar Radkov. Up until this moment, they have conducted events in Sofia, Plovdiv, Pleven, and Veliko Tarnovo. The results are: 69 tons of recycled plastics; 690 cubic meters of waste not harming Bulgaria; and the accumulated means for 6 incubators and tens of kids who will live and be healthier.
